Hello again. The lightbox and I have had words. Yep, I’m going to suck it up and stop complaining. And try to finish my work before sun-down…

Here’s the Mondoodle. It’s a bit of a case of… here’s one I prepared earlier. Because Of COURSE I wouldn’t get distracted during a tough deadline! That’s just not me. I have a steely resolve. I’m known for it. It’s practically a hyphenated middle name. I will be drawing something fun today but I’ll have to wait till I’m in class tonight for that. Hmm. Yes. There’s that Steely-Resolve against distraction at work again.

Drawn on the tablet (a week or two back) but completed today! Monday 22nd February 2010, 3.49pm.

I’m wrestling with a change in technology with this one… but I will prevail. And you know why.

Let me know any quick-draw suggestions please! I’ve had one bat suggestion so far. I’m trying to think of the twist…

I’m thinking that with these videos, while you watch the sequence of strokes, you might also watch a story unfold if I sketch it in the right order. That’s tricky for me as it requires a certain amount of planning, and I have been enjoying letting the drawing do its own thing to an extent. I’ll have to think up some elaborate ones. Unfortunately the YouTube thumbnail can ruin the surprise. I wish I could properly choose my own… they offer three random moments and none were quite early enough. It would be nice if you could zoom in on a little piece of the action instead, as the teaser.

I hope you enjoy it.

And while I’m thinking about drawings… Any requests? Any particular animal?

Hello my loves.

I have been playing… and you know how important I think play-time is…

This was done on a Wacom Tablet and captured with CamStudio. I started with a reference photo of a hare and then made up the rest as I went along. I’m basically trying to do some pictures like I do in my Moleskines… but live! I’m still learning how to draw with the tablet… this is my third go. It’s a real mind-twister looking at the screen as you draw, not your hand. Makes some angles and movements a little harder. You can twist yourself and your hand around but the screen doesn’t move with you. That’s ol’ blue eyes singing, by the way. I liked its melancholy air… she’s a melancholy hare.

Of course I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t fun!

On a different note – market tomorrow at the convent. And what a gorgeous day for it!
