No Market this weekend
At least for me. I’m sick! There’s a cold going around and I managed to get in on the fun. So I’m afraid we won’t be making an appearance at the Convent this weekend. As always if you need something in a hurry you can contact me directly, or go through the Shop.
I’ll miss it [...]
Hot Press
The word is spreading about the exhibition… (I’m colour-coding in my excitement).
“Inpress” have an article by Tony McMahon about the show out now - it’s a free street mag that you’ll find around the city. It’s really good too – a lot of depth and thought into what the show is trying to do. Excellent [...]
New Prints!
We have two markets this weekend and we have a debut…
Introducing TWO NEW PRINTS coming out ino the big wide world for the first time this weekend at the Sister’s Market in Brunswick and the Maker’s Market at the Abbotsford Convent. It looks like a stunning weekend (if it’s anything like today) so come and [...]

Happenings
There’s been a lot happening. Last weekend I was in Sydney for the Australian Society of Authors AGM, the awarding of the Barbara Jefferis Award to Kristina Olsson for her book The China Garden by (UQP) and first meeting of the committee of management for the year. We have a great group of dynamic people [...]

It’s time again for the o-so-brilliant
10 – 4pm
@ the Brunswick Town Hall
233 Sydney Rd, Brunswick, VIC.
If you’ve never visited, you should come along. If you have already then you know this is always a good one. Don’t be put off by the scaffolding outside for all is quite normal within. I wonder what I should [...]
Boots, summer and a market
Well if you’re in Melbourne you’ve suffered through another hot and sticky week but all is mended this weekend. The weather is gentle, the skies clear and there’s a market on tomorrow at the Convent, if you feel so inclined.
I’ve had a big week of work up in my hot studio. On Thursday I created [...]
Too hot for the studio
So I’ve relocated downstairs to paint. One day I’ll have a nice air conditioner or at least well-paid polar bears waving ice cubes, but until then, there are some days you just don’t want to be up here. Tin roof and me caught between the sun and the hot air rising…
There were people up here [...]
We're moving…
The markets at the Convent are moving rooms… We used to be in the big room on the right (near the bakery and main gate direction), now we’ll be in the red room on this map.
From the main gates it’s… turn right, pass the bakery, then turn left under the pergolas into the main courtyard [...]
New Prints!
I have just selected three of my favourite artworks from The Night Garden to release as limited edition prints. Each has a series of 50 and are beautiful Giclee prints on Hahnemuhle Bamboo paper. Prints will be available from me directly (either from the studio or my markets), Books Illustrated in Middle Park or Customs House [...]
