Look at what’s happening in December!

I’ve just bought some of those flickering LED tealights for a little night magic on my evening stalls. I can’t resist them. And I might re-red my hair specially for December. I’m feeling a little overly subtle in the colour department right now.

It’s market day tomorrow and I have TWO NEW THINGS. Shiny and new. Spangly even!

First of all, drumroll please, we have a clear favourite in the great print decision.

There were many votes – at coffee shops, at the market, online, from the casting of bones and, yay-verily, a little tea-leaf reading… and so now I have a print for boys.

It came out Beautifully.

And not only but also… a bold foray into the realm of the future.

A Calendar! It is printed on beautiful thick paper that will stand in its clever case on your desk and features paintings and some never-before-seen drawings from my private collection. You will also see that it has the Koko Black rabbit – for those of you who have asked for an image of her! I’m so pleased with how it has turned out and I can’t wait to share it with you all. I’ll pop it into the shop next week. But if you can’t wait – it will be at the market tomorrow ready to find a new home and only $15.

Hello everyone! Now I know you all have good taste and that you know what you like when you see it – so I need you to lend me your talents. I have been asked for more ‘boy prints’ more often than you could believe. So… here we go. Below are two drawings that I think could fit the bill only I really can’t decide which one to go with. Please help! The one with the most votes will become a new print, coming out in time for the festive season.

Grand final day market

I’m afraid I’m not really into the footy… Nor do I like vegemite… It’s really only my enjoyment of a vb on a hot day that has kept me from being kicked out if Oz. It’s a close one!

So the idea of having the Sisters Market this Saturday seems stellar to me! Anyway – there’s plenty if time to swing by before kick-off so everyone’s happy

There will be loads of beautiful things as you regulars know and if you’ve never been before – well, you’re in for a nice surprise. I’ll be there with brand new cards and a new painting on the go. And many other goodies, if course.

And blokes, let’s be honest, it’s not a very blokey market (excluding my lion prints of course). However, it is the perfect time to watch what your partner falls in love with and sneak back to get it for Christmas. Done and dusted and ahead of the madness.

It’s the Sister’s Market and life is good

The weather has been fine, our hearts are light and its time to make merry at the Sister’s Market again. Huzzah for making merry, whatever that is. It sounds good, though, doesn’t it.

So. Tomorrow is the delightful Sister’s Market – from 10am to 4pm at the Brunswick Town Hall on Sydney Road. See you there, peeps

The title says it all really! In this beautiful winter weather why not take a stroll along Sydney road and join us in the warm Brunswick Town Hall.

This is a great market and I’ll be manning it with pleasure. And my easel!

I’ll be manning the market on Sunday! Which means I’ll be painting. PAINTING b’gad! I cannot express how much I’ve missed that.

So – Makers Market in the Community Room at the gorgeous Abbotsford Convent from 10 – 4pm. Have you noticed that they’ve painted and fixed up the rooms? It’s given the old building a little dignity again.

Market changes!

Unfortunately, we are no longer going to be attending the first Sunday markets at the Abbotsford Convent. For a while at least.

However the others are unchanged. So we will still be there in our usual corner of the Community Room on the third Sunday of every month for the Maker’s Market. And of course we’ll be at the Sisters Markets every two months!
