Last Sunday’s art market at the Convent was lovely. It was a refuge for the cabin-fevered masses who had spent all week lurking inside to avoid the heat. And, most likely owing to a nice mention in The Age, we met a lot of Convent first timers who now know where we are and how gorgeous the place is.

This Sunday we have the Maker’s Market at the Convent and I think it will be another fine day. Saturday is set to be hot again – and I mean hot – but if the weather keeps to its end of the bargain we’ll have a cool and lovely day on Sunday as recompense. So do come along if you’re looking to stretch your legs. With any luck I’ll be painting again. I’m not sure what… I was finishing up the big City of Bears picture last time. This time I might complete the intensely hypnotic cat. Be prepared for her mighty stare.
The Maker’s Market is on Sunday 8th February, 10-4pm at the Abbotsford Convent.
