There's something in the air…

Did you notice it? Those almost imperceptible spices in the breeze, a far-off snatch of music, the pricking of the thumbs…  Yes, the blog is now a journal. Already, I feel different. Faster, stronger, smarter!

I hope everyone is getting a bit of a break and feeling terribly relaxed and replete. Can you believe there’s a market already this weekend? That’s because sunday is 2009, by Jupiter. The stockings are emptied, the stomaches full, there’s sand in people’s bathers and we’re nursing some tired and emotional heads. So it’s back to the convent for me.

We’re altering the time a little this year – so all my markets will be running from 10am to 4pm. Which, you’ll have to admit, is very respectable. You won’t find me going to anything that makes you turn up at 6am! If such a time even exists.

And as I have no idea what January holds – if many people will be there or if the entire population of Australia has gone to the beach – I’m planning a big lion oil painting to work on. There have been many requests for more than one lion in the show – so here goes. I wonder if they’ll get on?
