There’s a bit of baggage that often goes with the word blog… you know, the whole scary confessional thing. So I thought I might rename this blog as something else because I have no intention of doing a dear diary to anyone.
But what name???
What would capture it all and not sound… well… really bad?
What’s updated, newsy, works-in-progressy… and easy to remember and spell!
Help!
journal
news
newthings
notebook
log
chronicle
memo
cloudburst (i like it but who’d remember it!?)
prepress
(Stop me before I open the thesaurus!)

I like journal, and I don’t like prepress much – it sounds like something to do with olives. It would be good if you could get the word art in there though, but I guess journal sounds kind of arty anyway.
I’m voting against prepress as well…it’s not quite right. Maybe something along the lines of “what’s happening” or what you’ve been up to lately. I think words like journal, blog, notebook all sound too personal, and too diary like. “Communique” came up in a thesauras search (yeah, I have a lot of spare time on my hands now :p), which I liked, since the whole idea of the blog is to communicate what’s going on to other people, but it’s slightly more interesting than just calling it ‘communication’
Hi Liza – thanks! Hotpot’s a little culinary but wetink is cool! There’s an Oz magazine by the same name. I wonder if that matters… Pete – Olives? I happen to like olives! But they’re not relevent it’s true. Communique is Nice! I’d feel all Russian-spy. Arr… I’m going to keep thinking for a bit. We’re not quite there.

G’day Elise!! Merry x-mas and happy ’09 to you all!
I like A and C. I find these days a lot of people just put their URL and nothing else on the visiting card. If someone wants to get in touch by email, they’ll look you up on the web anyway.
Bestest,

looks like I posted the last comment in the wrong place. Well, I like Journal. Simple, unassuming, to-the-point. Your work speaks for itself.
xox,
