I like A then B, although that little upside down umbrella in B is pretty cute.

I like C, then B. What catches my eye about C is that the bear seems to be flying off the card, to who knows where, but in the other two he (he?) appears more static and “trapped” in the card. Or am I over-thinking this? :)

I prefer E.M Hurst – it looks more serious, somehow…perhaps it jogs “e.m forrester” in my mind, who I know nothing about save he/she is a famous author/poet/fullback/astronaut.

I like E.M. Hurst too – but I like it in lower case. But then, I’ve always liked letters in lower case.

Hey guys. Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming please.

Yeah, I know what you mean about EMForster (nice if I score some vague prestige by association!) – I like the fact that it’s genderless too. Maybe not so good on a business card – but good on novels.
    Brian – you’re not over-thinking :-)

Hey Elise! It’s Kim, Rachel Power’s friend. Was so great to meet you last week and I still have your wonderful moleskine worlds spinning around in my head. so very inspiring!

I love your little bear and I thought the same exact thing as Brian about C – it feels like he is flying off the card and can’t be contained – which is the feeling the illustration itself has. I like the upside down umbrella and wonder if the text going vertically would be better horizontally under your name to really accentuate the ‘sky-space’ the little guy has flown through? just a thought. take care xk

I loved seeing your work the other week. Looking forward to seeing more! xx e

Actually, I think I like B best now. That little umbrella has won me over :)

    Hi
this may be too late, but I like b and c , but I think you should flop the bear so he is looking forward, or to the right, not backwards…

Hi Kieren – not too late! I’ll have to try it. It can be really strange – sometimes flipping an image can make it look odd.. probably something to do with reading images left-right like type. All of a sudden asymmetry can stand out even more. Shouldn’t be an issue for this one of course! And Bianca… the umbrella does seem to be popular!

Hæ Elise!! I was just checking your blog for the first time in ages, and felt compelled to give you my belated 2 cents worth ;) Definitely C! ..As long as it can be printed right to the edge. Way cool. Kveðja, Jane

Hi Jane! It’s been forever! Thanks for your two cents. I haven’t had a chance to get these done yet so you’re not too late. I’ll have to see if you’ve posted more photos… and more beautiful northern lights? x e

Hey Elise. I love B. Most visiting cards are in landscape (like A), so B is refreshingly different. Also, the composition of B seems more balanced than the other two.

    Much love,
