A Dream of Bunyips Dancing
Elise Hurst
(Lothian Books, South Melbourne, 2002) ISBN 0 7344 0336 4

Set in the Australian rainforest fringe, LuLu's quest
for the legendary bunyip takes her among
the ferns by the creek at the bottom of her garden,
in shining day and moonlit night.
But what do bunyips look like? Has anyone ever seen one?
It seems like maybe her grandpa can help...

This was my first solo picture book with Lothian. It is illustrated in watercolour and pastel. I loved the idea of creating a fairy-story that used Australian mythology in an accessible setting.
